Education
He was born in Antalya in 1983. After completing his high school education at Mahmut Celal Ünal Science High School, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul University in 2000.
Dr. Meriç Küçükcoşkun began his residency training and doctoral studies in the Department of Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry, Istanbul University, in 2005. He completed his residency training in 2010 by defending his doctoral thesis entitled “Clinical Evaluation of the Effect of Initial Periodontal Treatment on the Frequency of COPD Exacerbations.”
During and after his doctoral education, he focused primarily on the relationship between periodontal and systemic diseases, hard and soft tissue surgery, tissue regeneration, and PRF applications.
He is a member of the Turkish Dental Association (TDB), the Istanbul Dental Association (İDO), the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), and the Turkish Society of Periodontology (TPD).
